Celebrate Your Achievement. Whether you already have a prolific collection of finishers medals, or are just starting out running longer distances the Golden State Marathon Series offers a solution that can help you display your achievements with pride, or give you an incentive to challenge yourself. You can get one for yourself, or easily buy one as a gift for your favorite runner.
While the medals are not specific to any particular event or location in the State of California there are some basic requirements for all three medals.
- Only USATF Certified[1] half marathon (13.1 mile) and full marathon (26.2 miles) courses held within the State of California can be applied towards individual medal qualifications.
- All qualifying events must be run in their entirety by the person for whom they are being applied.
There are three levels of recognition

The Bronze Medal
10 Marathons

The Silver Medal
25 Marathons

The Gold Medal
50 Marathons
Also, all original medal orders come with a customized embossed award certificate that lists the unique events to each individual runner that qualified them for the award.
Because the medals are not specific to any particular event or location within the state this allows runners from any part of California to easily fulfill all or most of the requirements for each level in their own area.[2] And with the abundance of qualifying events throughout the state there are numerous opportunities year round for everyone. Also, since the requirements from each tier progressively build on those of the previous you can apply events from a previous award to a new medal on a higher tier.
Why settle for less when the price of each medal costs no more than the average marathon registration fee, or new pair of quality running shoes.
